Tropical Ocean-Global Atmosphere program - The Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere program is a component of the World Climate Research Program (WCRP) aimed specifically at the prediction of climate phenomena on time scales of months to years. TOGA emphasizes the tropical oceans and their relationship to the global atmosphere.

Aerobrake - Aerobraking is an advanced interplanetary space navigation technique, whereby the velocity vector of a space vehicle is modified by interaction with a target body's atmosphere. Most of the earth's terrestrial species live in the soil.
